The bump stops (or end-of-stroke protection system) are used to prevent the shock from hitting once it reaches the end of its stroke. The most common are rubber or polyurethane that physically cushion the movement of the shock absorber, but are often not sufficiently efficient. For greater safety, we offer high-performance XT AUTOMOTIVE bump stop systems based on hydraulic operation.
These stop units use a pressurized emulsion that creates resistance when the suspension approaches end-of-stroke. This allows to gradually dampen the movement of the suspension avoiding the impact. The suspension work is therefore 100% protected during heavy use, and driving performance is also better.
